The Imitation Game review

This is well-researched, fact-based drama about Alan Turing, the  man who discovered the Nazi code with secret messages of military strategy in the 2nd World War (1939-1945). The film is directed by Morten Tyldum and is starred by Benedict Cumberbatch and Keira Knightley.

Tyldum challenge is to make  us think about how and why Turing has been excluded from history books when this man saved a lot of lives during the 2nd World War. Why? Because he was homosexual!

But the best thing on the movie is that it’s a good production film. First of all, Cumberbatch, who performs Alan Turing does a very good performing of the main character. So he is a candidate to win the Oscar award. Secondly, it presents a well scene construction. The combination of Turing as a child and the pursuit of Enigma could have been difficult for the film construction, but the screenplays result have done a nice image combination. As a result, the audience can understand the story without problems. Finally, the soundtrack is great for the kind of video. The music helps that the scenes being more emotive.

What is missing in it, is that they don’t explain the meaning of the Nazi Enigma. So I think that if they tell this, the film would have been more understanding.

The film finishes doing a tribute to Turing, to homosexual people, and to everybody who fell during the big war. The story will excite and will love you. You’re looking forward to know else about Turing life. In general lines, it is an interesting American work and a fantastic drama film.
